Attention Juniors and Seniors
This Wednesday is College and Career Day. Students who have signed up in advance will take the ASVAB or PSAT.
All other students are encouraged to job shadow or visit a college.
This Wednesday is College and Career Day. You will go to Trojan Way during 1st and 2nd blocks where you will participate in career related activities with your advisor. You will then go to your regular 3rd and 4th block classes.
If you are a sophomore and would like to attend a Leadership seminar in the spring, see Mrs. Hill in the Counseling Office. HOBY (Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership) allows high school sophomores to recognize their leadership talents and apply them in becoming effective, ethical leaders in their home, school, workplace and community. Students attend three- or four-day seminars and participate in hands-on leadership activities, meet leaders in their state, and explore their own personal leadership skills while learning how to make a positive impact in their community. Attention 11th Grade Students who have signed up to take the PSAT on Wednesday, October 19th.
*Please report directly to the Media Center on Oct. 19th as soon as the bell rings . Attendance will be taken there.
*Please bring the following items:
*Several #2 pencils, no mechanical pencils.
*Approved calculator (pg. 24) – Scientific or Graphing calculator recommended.
*Bring a sweater or jacket in case room is cold.

*Review the PSAT Guide and Practice Test
*Eat a healthy breakfast and get plenty of rest the night before.

There will be a Mandatory Wrestling Meeting Wednesday October 19, 2016; at 3:50 PM ; in the wrestling room for all student-athletes that are not participating in fall sports.
Congratulations to the Northwestern High School Purple Regiment on their outstanding performance at the Town of Blythewood Tournament of Bands on Saturday. In addition to taking first place in their class, the Purple Regiment also earned highs scores for Color Guard Performance, Percussion Performance and overall Music Performance. The band will be performing again this Saturday at the SCBDA Upper State Championship at Boiling Springs High School. Congratulations again for a great show and best of luck at upperstate.
Zaxby's at 2889 Heckle Blvd, will be hosting a spirit night TONIGHT to benefit the Friends of Northwestern. In order for purchases to count towards the 10% donation, customers must go inside to order. Drive-through orders won't count.
The Lady Trojan's basketball team is looking for dedicated young ladies that would like to be a manager or would like to video the girls games. Please go by E116 and pick up an application.
Girls wanting to try out for basketball, make sure you have a physical and you have signed up in E116. Tryouts will start on Oct. 31.

at McBryde Hall. Come meet representatives from over 70 colleges and universities.

The Visions Literary Magazine is now accepting submissions for the 2016-2017 school year!! Submit your ORIGINAL artwork, photography, short stories, poetry, social commentary, reviews, and song lyrics to A228 (Ms. Hughes) or the NHS Media Center. All submissions MUST BE LEGIBLE and meet the submission guidelines found on the Visions website or at drop-off locations. This year's submission deadline is Dec. 20!
